I've been using this sponge for almost three weeks and by the 3rd day I could feel my skin was smoother and it's definitely easier to reach my back. But I've also been having really intense itchiness and irritation on my back, neck, and legs. I've changed my lotion/body wash/bedsheets in case that was the problem, but the itchiness has been persisting so I'm guessing the sponge does a great job of exfoliating, it just might not be suitable for me and my skin type (dry/sensitive). I also live in a pretty cold/dry area too—some things to keep in mind!
This was my first introduction to pure shea butter…and let me say “WOW!”
I had no idea how good this stuff would be! I have sensitive skin with psoriasis that flares up, so I’ve tried a number of body butters. This one is among the best I’ve tried, without a doubt. The texture is thick, but somehow not greasy at all. The moisture really lasts, too! My flare ups seem to have calmed down, even through dry winter weather, since using this product. While I noticed a few commented on the smell being unexpected, I actually found it to be earthy and grounding—and reassuring that I’m not putting any chemical fragrances on my already irritated skin. This was a seriously good find. I will be back!
I was not using a regular sponge cloth before this and now I can't imagine ever not using this. I got it right before my international trip, and loved it so much I brought it with me (along with the Bellanomi body oil). I got the emerald green one and am obsessed with the color.
I found Bellanomi after getting stuck on bathTok, and I'm so happy I did. I had never used a body oil before and frequently had dry skin. My skin feels softer, and I can smell the scent of the oil all day, which I love. It's subtle but I really enjoy it. I definitely will be buying this again!
